Car Alarms: 2001 Ford F250 Anti Theft, solinoid, ford f250

Question
Hello,

My father recently purchased a 2001 Ford F250.  When the door gets unlocked, the alarm goes off.  The solenoid might be loose on the passenger door, the door lock doesn't always pull the lock all the way up or down.  Is this a possible cause for the alarm going off?  We could not find any information on how to address this issue.  Is there a way to uninstall or bypass the factory alarm, and if so how do we do so?  We don't want to keep waking up the neighbors...  Thanks in advance.

Answer
it's entirely possible that the door trigger in
this truck is connected to the loose solinoid.
I'd repair the solinoid to make sure.

Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.
