Car Alarms: clifford car alarm, clifford car alarm, blinking red light

My 1999 ford escort has a clifford, what i call, disable. I can't start the car without turning off the blinking red light by insert small key in box under dash. the thing is getting old, and sometimes it takes up to 15 minutes to disable it. Help I just want the thing permanently disabled can you help? i would really appreciate and suggestion. MICHELLE

To uninstall the unit all you would need to do is trace back all of the wiring from the unit and remove all connections to the unit.  You would also need to restore the wires that were cut.  If you give me an email address and the exact model of the immobilizer I will see what I can do about finding a manual for you.
