Car Alarms: 2000 Corolla alarm fault, system beeps, fcc id

I have a 2000 Corolla and last week the battery drained because of the interior lights being on when the tailgate was not fully closed. I recharged the battery and all is OK except the alarm. The alarm system beeps for a few seconds whenever I lock the doors remotely or try to set the alarm. The alarm will not set. It also beeps when I unlock the car remotely. Please advise how I can overcome the problem.

Hard to say David, I don't know what system you have,
but apparently it does need to be reset.

Do you know what the alarm unit is (manufacturer)?
If not, go to either of the following locations:

www.AUTOTECHS.com
www.KEYLESSRIDE.com
or, www.REMOTESUNLIMITED.com

to ID what you have with the FCC ID# on the back
of the tranmitter.

Maybe then I can provide a decent answer as to
how to reset if possible.
