Car Alarms: alarm, side kick panel, cherookee

how do i bypaass my alarm on my 1993 jeep grand cherookee 4.0    it went off in the parkinglot and i tried everything i think it screwed how can i jsut ake it out and run the truck  or atleast make it so it doesnt trun off when i try to start it

In the driver's side kick panel there is a wire that goes to ground when you unlock the door with a key.  This disarms the factory alarm, try unlocking the door with a key to turn off the alarm.  If this does not work there may be something wrong with the switch in the door.  If you ground the purple/yellow wire in the driver's kick panel it should disarm the alarm.
