Car Alarms: Pre arm Mode not working, valet mode, code alarm ca670

Question
hello thank U very much for our fast reply. i don't believe its on valet mode. when the alarm is not activated, there is no light at all. now when i activate the alarm the light blinks like every sec or so. well when i  have gone through the manual process to activate a second controller, i have been able to put it on valet mode and then of. the book says that when on valet mode, the light will stay solid which it does and the siren will make 3 chirps which it does not. now the siren is hooked up because when the alarms triggers it does come on .well i have installed different alarms and never had this problem. let me know what U think .than you

i installed my own alarm (code alarm ca670) and i have one thing that is really getting me.well my alarm does not activate on its on after a few seconds of closing all my doors, on the manual it has that option( pre-arm mode) but im not sure if there was a cable that i had to plu in for that to activate. also when i activate or deactivate the alarm with the control, i see the lights flash and there is no beep or sound that confirms that alarm was turned on. i also have a 2way lcd remote transmitter and it will not notify me when my alarm is going on. can u tell me what i did wrong or something that will help. thank you very much

Are you sure the alarm is not in valet mode?  This is normally indicated by a led that is lit solid.  If it is, reference your manual on how to take the system out of valet mode.  Valet mode will deactivate all security features but still allow the convenience features to operate.

Answer
I have seen systems that get out of sync with the 2-way remote and all that is required to re sync is to unplug the antenna and plug it back in.

To the problem with no sound when arming, I would check and see if the system offers a silent arming mode.  This may be your problem.

To the auto arm problem, are you absolutely sure that you have the correct door trigger wire?  If the system does not see the door open and close it would prevent it from arming itself.
