Car Alarms: disarming aftermarket car alarm, mazda 626, car alarm

Question
We had an aftermarket car alarm installed on our 199 Mazda 626 in 1997.  We have since lost the remotes and have simply been using the car with the keys.  The battery drained a few days ago - charged it up but now the alarm goes on whenever we open the door/hood etc.  We were told there is a button or switch on the driver's side which will turn off the alarm  - have searched exhaustively - there is no button - no switch. Can you help?

Answer
No, unfortunately it depends on the valet/overide
switch, the only other way to reset, or adjust is
to unplug the alarm.

Since there is no valet, there is no other way.

If you want the wiring info on the car to
reverse engineer the system, go to www.MYWIRES.com

Sorry, wish I had better news for ya.

Good luck with it.
