Question

-------------------------------------------
There are no buttons to push... would like to disable autolock and not have the alarm go on when you open the trunk with the remote.  My other car has a passive alarm without the above.

When I go back to active... the red light stays on constantly and is very annoying.. how do I turn of LED light? Thank you.------------------------------------------

-----Question-----
I have a brand new Toyota Solara and the doors lock in about 30 seconds after I accidently left the key in the ignition even though the motor was not turn on.  Luckily, I had an extra remote to get into the car.  Is this normal?  Can I deactivate this feature?
-----Answer-----
It's called "PASSIVE" arming, and most
alarms have it as an option. The default setting
is reffered to as "ACTIVE" arming. Please refer to
the manual that came with it to toggle between setting.

If you do not have the manula.
Try to id the alarm (www.remotesunlimited)
and contact the manufacturer.

Good hunting.

-----Answer-----
Hmmm, that sounds like the system is in "VALET"
mode. If this aftermarket system is in valet,
there would be no chirps on lock and unlock, or passive arming,
as it is in service mode and disable all
but the locks.

What you want is to retain the larm features and
the chirps confirmation, but only
when YOU press the buttons. I understand.

Look again in the features settings for Passive/active arming and try that.

A.

Answer
Take this back up to the dealer and have
them contact they're aftermarket installer.
Tell him also to ask the installer
to go to Active arming only, and to get
the trunk wire to bypass the alarm when
in use.

Best way really.

I hope they will work with you
on it.

Good luck.
