Car Alarms: Clifford XL500 Remote Start problem,, turbo timers, xl500

Question
I have a 98 Dodge stratus, with a dealer installed clifford xl500 with alarm, keyless entry and remote start.  The alarm was not working; in addition, the remote start would sometimes restart the car by itself after I had driven and then turn the car off.  I took it to circuit city, and the tech did what he called a "hard reset" of the alarm unit.  The alarm now works, but the random restarting of the car after I turn it off persists. What can I do to stop this from occuring?  Do I need to simply replace the system, or can this be fixed?

Answer
The wireless immobilzer (xl500) to my knowledge does not include a remote start.  This would be an add-on remote starter as well as alarm.  Some starters have turbo timers that may need to be turned off if you do not want this feature.  Most have a pit-stop mode that may be getting activated when you park the car.  I would recommend getting the exact model numbers of all of the installed components and getting the user's manuals for each.  This would allow you to investigate further to see what options are programmable.  It is very unlikely that the system need to be replaced, as these systems rarely go bad.
