Car Alarms: astra 777 sensitivity, vibration sensor, alarmtek

Question
How do i turn down the sensitivity on my astra 777 car alarm?  The vibration sensor is so sensitive that when big trucks go by or even sometimes when it thunders the alarm gives the warn away chirp.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Answer
Alrighty, on the sensor, notice that it has
a trim pot "wheel" inset in it.
As you are looking down at it,
use a small flat head screw driver
and turn counter clock wise, checking
the setting each time, by setting,
arming the alarm, and then tapping
on the vehicle in various spots for the desired
sensetivity levels. (bout 8 to 9 is best normally).

Also, make certain that the sensor is wire tired
firmly to a wire harness you find in the
placement area, rather then the frame-flat against
a panel or surface. This will give the sensor
more of a "feel" for the level needed, as opposed
to EVERYTHING setting it off.

I hope this helped.
