Car Alarms: Door Trigger, galaxy 5000rs, chevrolet silverado

Question
I have the Galaxy 5000RS-2W alarm...I also purchased the wireworks wiring diagram for a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup. The diagram says I have a negative trigger system for the door. I connected the green - trigger wire to the white - wire at the drivers side switch like diagram and now I don't hear the siren chirp. I measured the white wire at switch and I read 12volts...did I fry something inside brain?

Possibly if you also connected the black/white wire at anytime without a relay.

Call me at 813 963-3012 to double check this
as that would mean the circuit for the siren and
other features may have suffered from a power
surge. Not good.
