Car Alarms: Key Fob Immobiliser, rover coupe, programing

Hi Guys,
I REMOVED THE BATTERY FROM THE REMOTE KEY FOB WHICH OPERATES THE ALARM,IMMOBILISER AND CENTRAL LOCKING ON MY 95 ROVER COUPE 216i AND REPLACED IT WITH A NEW BATTERY AND IT NOW DOESN'T WORK.

Hey James,
   Obviously lost programing when it lost power.
The trouble is if it's the factory, or OEM remote,
you will need to contact Range Rover for the re programing
procedures on they're equipment. If it's aftermarket,
you will still need to identify which one you have,
and then contact the company to reprogram.

Sorry, but that's why it's a security system. Not going
to be that easy to re program it.

Start with Range Rover I think.
Best way to determine what you have there,
and to procede with the correct programing.
