Car Alarms: 2002 Camry Alarm system, forewarning, s system

Our 2002 Camry Alarm's system is malfunctioning. When we go to turm the key on, the car is sluggish and the alarm system begins to go off, when we turn the key off, it stops. No forewarning, it just started this last night. We unhooked the battery and reconnected and once we reconnected, the alarm started. Any suggestions?

It sounds like an overall power problem. My first
thought is the alternator, or the powers distribution
in the car that is the trouble. Alarms don't just
"malfuntion", In most cases, it is a power issue.
I would take it in for a toyota  diagnostic on this
one to determine the trouble.
