Question -
Hello,
I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant with keyless entry already. I want to add an alarm too it but I want a factory alarm. My friend has a 1999 Toyota Camry that she wrecked. Now she is parting it out and it happens to have an alarm on it. Would it be possible to put the remove the alarm from the Camry and add it to my car the Mitsubishi. Wouldn't the wires be almost the same? I want an alarm but the only thing I don't like are the key fobs they have. It may sound dumb but I prefer to have the factory key fobs. Would you know of a place to purchase an OEM factory alarm besides the dealership.
Thanks
Kevin
Answer -
Nope sorry, I deal exclusively in adding the
aftermarket systems. Nothing OEM.

No, the wiring is not the same AT ALL,
and there is no "plug n play" here unless you
get the same OEM system from Mitsbishi.

Sorry about that. One thing though.
If you loosen your thoughts up about
an good alarm with keyless entry,
I have a great one for this particular car
For under 60.00.

If not, no harm no foul. Check
in at the local Mitsubishi dealership
on the cost to get the OEM module and
remotes.

Let me know

Answer
A fine choice there Kevin. Good basic security.
The better choice in my mind is the Precision 200
though. 200 ft more range, built in starter kill
and 2 stage shock for 59.95, but the Ultrastart
431 system works too. Just add a relay if you want to
have a starter kill in the Galant.

The reason I suggest the Precision 200 is for the
remotes. I like the feel of them better. But
that's just me. You might have a differing opinion.
The performance would be the same with a bit better
range on the p200.

In either case, let me know.
