Car Alarms: parking lights not blinking; also door trigger not triggering, 1995 ford windstar, ford windstar

Question
I have a 1995 Ford Windstar 3.8 liter and I'm installing a commando RS combo alarm kit.  I can't get my parking lights to work.  I've tried straight to the black-white wire, a relay powered by a 12+ source going to the black-white wire, and a relay using the green wire along with the tan-white wire cut with one end to the switch and one to the circuit and grounding the relay with the green wire as the power.  I can't get the lights to work.  The alarm output shows that it's putting out almost 4 volts on the multimeter, would that be enough juice?  That should be plenty right?

Also, I have the door trigger and the dome light going to the same wire on a relay.  The dome light works terrific, but the door will not trigger the alarm.  Do I need to seperate the door trigger off of the relay and straight to the domelight wire?  I tried both the negative and positive trigger and both do not work.  I suspect the relay must have something to do with messing up the door trigger.  Any ideas here?

Lastly, the alarm always sets with four chirps telling me a circuit is open, is that because of the door trigger on the domelight relay?  Is it showing up as an open circuit?  Everything else works terrific.  The remote start, the hood switch, the brake switch, the tach, the horn and all the other features and options.  Just the Parking lights and door trigger is driving me crazy.

Answer
I believe your system is now damaged. From the
sounds of it, you attatched a wire that required a relay
on it to make the application work. This probably
caused a circuit to burn on the motherboard.

Contact Ryan at 1 800 780-1409 and tell him the
trouble you told me to confirm it. They
may or may not warranty it though if
it is an installer error. You have to check
on your own.

Good luck with it.
