Car Alarms: 93 Jeep Gr. Cher. Laredo Alarm, jeep grand cherokee laredo, jeep grand cherokee

Question
My 93 Jeep grand cherokee laredo has the factory alarm system (No remote) which engages when the electronic door locks are used. I would like to disable the factory alarm system because it goes off without any warning while the vehicle is sitting there. Is there a way to disable the factory alarm system permenantly without losing the function of electronic locks? And if so, how would I go about disabling the alarm permanently?

Answer
You can do this yourself. Here is what to do.
You need to find the
FACTORY ALARM DISARM wire is purple/yellow|-|
located in the driver kick panel in the black plug.
Then splice into it with the same guage wire, and
then ground it to the body. This permanantly
disables the factory alarm.

That then solves your current issue, and
creates another. This truck would then be
very easy to steal if left unprotected.
I strongly suggest an aftermarket alarm/keyless
system to replace it with. Have a look at
www.caralarmz.com and you can kill 2 birds with
1 stone, so to speak.

Let me know if you need a good suggestion
for what you need here.

Have a good day.
