Car Alarms: chrysler alarm system, side kick panel, guage wire

Question
I have a 91 chrysler new yorker 5th avenue.  the alarm was set and both door lock sensor/switches were broken, so I bought new ones and now I can't get the alarm unset with them. you are supposed to just turn the key in the door locks to unset it.  Is there a way to unset the alarm or to overide or disconnect it?
thank you
James

Answer
I have no idea what alarm you have there if it's
an aftermarket system. However, if it's
the factory alarm, and Chrysler sold you remotes,
then they need to program them to the car.
If they can not or, will not help, you drffinately
should disarm/disble it for good.
Locate the FACTORY ALARM DISARM wire,
a lt. green/orange|-negative|in the
Drivers side kick panel or alarm above glovebox,
splice into it with the same guage wire, and put
it to a solid chassis ground.
That solves the factory alarm arming issue
completely.

If it is an aftermarket alarm, let me know and
then we'll look around for the valet/overide
switch under the dash area.

Let me know what you find.
