Car Alarms: possible electrical interference (alarm), electrical interference, weird times

Question
1999 honda accord lx. just recently, i had a car alarms installed and about 2 weeks after installation i've noticed some problems in the electrical system. All pointed to alternator/battery problems...so i replaced both. nothing changed after these replacements. dash lights are coming on at weird times, speedometer and tachometer are jumping (dead at times and then returning to normal). Honda says possible aftermarket alarm interference...could this be? i have a standard...and the car is throwing cell's 20 and 41 which i believe are for automatic selonoids...please help...

Answer
The trouble here in my mind is that you have a wire
incorrectly installed, that is energizing at the wrong
time. The first thing to check is your igintion
wire to make certain the connection is tight.
The next thing to check is if starter kill was installed on this car.
If it was, remove it. This vehicle as a transmod
type immobilizer, and a starter kill relay would
cause interance like you are currently experiencing.

The other ideas I have are if there is a
remote starter installed here.

Is there? If so, is the car automatic or stick?

Let me know please and I will offer more
trouble shooting ideas on the subject.
