Car Alarms: passlock, chevy astro van, steering colum

I just bought a 2004 Chevy Astro van LS and have a Designtech Ready Remote Starter W/ Keyless Entry Auto Security kit that I want to install.Along with that I bought a Universal Alarm Bypass Module (Desightech mod#29402) that covers VATS P.A.T.S. Passlock, PasslockII,.  besides dismanlaling the dash and steering colum,  how do I tell which passlock system is in the van or does it matter as long as I know that it does have a passlock system in it.

Hello Jack,
   You have the passlock II system in this vehicle.
Not sure of they're universal module
(I don't sell it here),
but set it up as PASSLOCK II and follow
the directions to interface.

If having trouble with it, contact
the tech support office at 1 800 designtech
on Monday.
