does need a decent system to
protect & enhance it.
I have a couple of solid suggestions
that would do very well for interfacing
properly to this specific vehicle.
Now let's see...
I'll offer my second choice first.

Keep in mind that the best thing here
in my opinion is the comfort of
the 2 way pager.
This way you know it's YOUR car.
Not some random siren going off outside,
but YOURS!
Either way you would
still get, flashing lights,
2 remotes, domelight monitoring, 6 tone siren,
2 stage impact sensor and alot more.
There are a few other items you will need here to
make the 05' Chevy work with an aftermarket system.
You will need to bypass the VATS II passlock system
in the ignition for remote start, and the door locks
are rather tricky in the new trucks too. You will
need either 4 extra relays, or the 456g module
to do them correctly.
You can also add an interior/exterior microwave
sensor to detect movement. This completes the
overall security needs I would think.
There are of course other brands and models,
but you seem to want only what's best for this project.
But for 05' Chevy vehicles, you won't find better.
These systems, in my opinion, are your top shelf choices.
