Car Alarms: Commando FM-870, radio towers, remote start

I installed the commando remote start system recently.  When I tested it I could remote start the car from 1/4 mile away.  The next day I went to start the car and i couldn't do it unless I was about 50 feet away.  The battery indicator on the remote says its fine.  Any ideas what could be wrong?

Try repositioning the antenna, and if that fails,
I would contact Commando for some assistance.

Also keep in mind, that you do have to allow for
interference from electrical devices, radio towers
etc... Could simple be where the vehicle is that could
cause less range.
