1.I am installing an aftermarket alarm in my infinity qx4 how do i connect my aftermarket alarm to the disarm defeat of of the factory alarm?. Is it neccessary to connect the disarm defeat
2.Do I need to connect a relay to enable the aftermarket alarm to rearm the factory alarm or would the factory alarm rearm itself once the doors are looked

Answer
It depends on the year of your vehicle.
Before 2001, yes you would need to ground
the factory alarm disarm wire momentarilly
when disarminmg the afternmarket system.
Your system should either have this factory
disarm wire, or see disarming factory alarms
at www.relayhelp.com .

In a 2002 + no disarming of the factory system is
needed when you install the keyless entry from the
aftermarket system, the alarm would disarm when
you remotely unlock the doors.
