Car Alarms: Alarm COMMANDO FM-870, siren sound, fm antenna

Question
HI, I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE

I INSTALED THIS ALARM AROUND X-MAS AND HAD NO PROBLEM TILL TODAY. ALL THREE REMOTES JUST SUDDENLY STOP WORKING.

ONE OF THE REMOTES IS A 2-WAY, THIS REMOTE CANNOT SEND OR RECEIVE!!!

WHAT DO YOU SUSPECT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE?

CAN THE PROBLEM BE SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS THE FM ANTENNA? OR A CUT ANTENNA CABLE?

THE UNIT HAS CONSTANT 12VOLT, NO FUSES AR BLOWN.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

Answer
From your explainaiton, it certainly sounds as if
you understand the veriables here. That is precicely
what my first suggestion would be is to check
the integrity of the antenna wire. Is it pinched?
Is it disconnected at either end?
If nothing found, can you panic the system by
pressing the lock button, making the alarm siren
sound? If so, look at the "valet setting by remote"
section in your installation manual. I sent your
question directly to commando for they're consideration,
but they are a bit slow to respond at times.

I will post they're reply if/when they send one,
or you can call 1 800 780 1409  (10 to 6 pm mon fri)
to get an answer as well.

Goor troubleshooting!
