Question -
I just replaced the battery in my 98 subaru wagon
& at that time the alarm kept going off & couldnt be shut off with the remote. The installer of battery had a difficult time. Then I had to have that remote re-programmed to alarm & unlock car doors. After that was done is when the alarm started going off for no reason. Can you help at all?
Answer -
I am making a guess that the shock sensor on the alarm is set too high. That is usually what we find when the alarm
"goes off by itself". Have the technician turn it off or
down to test the sensitivity levels.

Good luck with it.

ALARMTEK

Answer
It's unlikely.
Unless yours is a self contained alarm (all componants
ar in the siren under the hood), then the shock would
be either a seperate sensor mounted under the dash area,
or, built into the brain box, also under the dash area.
Do you know the make model of the system you have?
