Car Alarms: Ultrastart AST-440, ultrastart, radio shack

Thank you for your assistance.  I was able to install my AST-440, w/ starter disable this weekend with no problems.  I do have two questions left however.  1.  I would like silent arm/disarm.  I followed the "enter program" mode and received the single chirp after following the instructions.  This indicated I should have disabled the chirps, however it still chirps unless I manually go silent each time I press the remote buttons.  Do you have a suggestion to go silent?  2.  The LED glows very very slightly when driving and the system is not armed.  It's very faint.  Is this normal, or is power bleeding over to the LED?  The LED is not very bright either when it's armed.  I was thinking of purchasing a brighter LED from Radio Shack or something and replacing it.

GO TO WWW.ULTRATSRATERS.COM AND LOOK UP YOUR
ALARM MANUAL TO MAKE THE TROUBLE SHOOTING NECESSARY
ON THE 440. I ONLY SELL THE 430 SYSTEM SO I AM NOT
QUALIFIED TO JUDGE WHAT MAY BE THE TROUBLE HERE.
