Car Alarms: my car alarm, sidewinder car alarm, dash area

Question
I purchased a ,92 Grand Am back in Aug. and it came with a Sidewinder car alarm w/keyless entry.  My problem is that it did not come with a manual-it was lost.  I have never been able to figure out how to activate it.  Just the keyless entry works for me.  I recently took the car to the shop to get some repairs done on the front end and while they were working on it, the alarm went off, so they had to diconnect it.  My question is can I get a manual from somewhere so that I can reactivate it?  I called Remotes Unlimited, Inc. and they said I should be able to get one with the proper website.
Here is the information I have for you:
Sidewinder remote w/2-buttons
FCC I.D. # EZSDE1467
Replacement # is for a Viper remote- FCC I.D. #EZSDE1493C  Please help me!!!

Answer
Ok, try this:
have the alarm sire reconnected.
find the button that was installed under
the dash area and then put the key in and
on forward just before cranking.

Now press and hold the button under the dash.
When the alarm goes off, you can now operate
using the remotes.

Sidewinder is made by DEI www.directed.com
and they might be able to provide the
installation manual for it.

Let me know what happens.
