Car Alarms: magnetic fields, antenna wire, brain box

curious if my Micro alarm 6008 emits any kind of magnetic field (important for mounting location). thanks.

Interesting question, but no it transmits on the
lower am frequency rage. So you don't
want to go near metal surfaces with the antenna.
Try to extend the antenna wire as verticle as possible to the brain box,
and black tape to a fixed wire harness
high up in the dash for best range.

That should provide optimum performce & range.
