Car Stereos: Disc Format Error for DVDs I burn, panasonic dvd player, vob format

Hi

I have a panasonic DVD player installed in my car. All original DVDs and CDs play fine, but if a burn a CD or DVD on my own it does not work. One surprising thing is that one of the CD (music) is working on the player.

Can you please suggest, as I tried to burn in all possible formats, including the .vob format.

Hi Rahil,

You may be dealing with a unit whose laser simply won't read burned media. This is pretty common.

Before going down that route, though, make sure you're using good quality blank discs, and burn at a lower speed to ensure there's no errors in the burn.

If that doesn't help, though, you may be dealing with a unit that simply won't read burned discs.
