Car Stereos: Date/time display, multimeter, time service

Hey there.
The date/time/service display keeps resetting on me,
Well atleast the date and time. The service part stays the same.
What can I do to stop or correct this ?

Hi Corey,

If your deck keeps losing the date/time, then that would suggest that it's losing power when the car is off.

If this just started happening and you've changed nothing else, and the car is still starting just fine, you're likely dealing with a bad constant wire behind the dash.  Get out a multimeter and test that wire to ground when the car is off.  It should still have 12V.  If it doesn't, you need to find the break/bad connection.  If it does, then your deck may need replacement (or you could just live with it.)
