Car Stereos: Front and Rear speaker install in a 05 ford taurus, ford taurus, speaker harness

I am a beginner at this and I am trying to find out how to install aftermarket speakers into a 05 ford taurus.  The old speakers had a clip to attach the speakers to the speaker wire in the car, but new speakers do not have this clip.  How do I install my new speakers?

Hi Jeff,

Sorry about the delay in answering your question.  The easiest way to connect new speakers to the factory speaker plugs is to use an adapter harness.  In your vehicle, you'll want to look for a Metra 72-5600 speaker harness.  These are sold in pairs, and can be found at just about any car audio store.
