Car Stereos: Stereo Suggestions f/ 2002 GMC Sierra, oem radios, gmc sierra

Hi,
I'm looking to purchase an in-dash stereo for my husband's 2002 GMC Sierra extended cab and am needing some suggestions. He's wanting one that will dock iPhone/iPod, and had CD, AM/FM, bluetooth capabilities. I'm currently looking at the boss 865dbi, but wasn't too sure about the removable faceplate. Also, I've read that it fits and that it doesn't fit. Do you recommend this model, if not, what do you suggest?

I do not recommend that model.  I only recommend high-end brands, because that is what you are replacing.  Most OEM radios are made by the best radio manufacturers in the world.  Therefore, if you don't replace with a high-end radio, it will not sound as good.  I recommend Kenwood, Nakamichi, Eclipse, Clarion, and Alpine.  Personally, I only use Alpine.  They have models that will fit your husbands truck and has all the options you are looking for.  You can check them out at crutchfield.com and they will let you know which models will fit his truck properly.  Hope this helps, Scott
