Question
my radio does not pick up any stations fm or am but was working fine, it is in a cadillac cts and it is bose have done everything in book but no luck, the antenna is in the defrost and there isn't anything wron with the lines in the defrost panel

Answer
Hi Teresa,

Sorry about the delay in answering this question.

Your radio antenna is built into the rear window glass, though it's actually separate from the defrost grid.  There should be a set of contacts on the window (probably underneath the surrounding molding) that connects the antenna element.  You can try checking to make sure these haven't broken away from the window glass.

There's also a junction in the antenna cable, located under the carpet on the passenger side of the center console.  It's possible that the antenna has come unplugged at this point; if so, you can just plug it back in to fix the problem.

If there's no problem with the antenna contacts or cable, though, then there's most likely a defect in your factory radio.  Unfortunately, replacing the head unit in this vehicle isn't likely to be cheap, whether you use a factory or after-market replacement.

Hope this helps!
