Car Stereos: CAR STEREO SPEAKERS QUIT PLAYING, jeep grand cherokee, car stereo speakers

Question
I put car stereo in '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sometimes the door speakers work, sometimes they don't. I've checked and double checked the ground wire and I am positive that it is making a good, clean connection to bare metal. And also a tight connection. I can pull radio out of dash and hold it and speakers play. When I put radio back in dash speakers work until I turn power off and when I turn power back on, they might work, or might not. I've took this radio out and put it back in several times thinking that I have fixed the problem. But it keeps happening. Any help is desperately needed please.

Answer
Keith, It sounds like a short issue inside the radio.  Many times, radios will have connectors that attach to the circuit board.  These connectors get bumped or shaken around too much and they work a wire loose from the connection, then speakers stop working properly.  The radio needs repaired or replaced.  Hope this helps, Scott
