Car Stereos: ipod for Trailblaze 2002, wireless fm transmitters, 2002 chevy trailblazer

Question
Hello
I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer with an AM-FM Stereo with 6-Disc Compact Disc Player. Is there a possibility to attach an ipod?

Thank you and best regards,
Aldo

Answer
Hi Aldo,

Several manufacturers make an iPod interface for your vehicle; however, I don't know which ones are available in your area.  One example is Peripheral Electronics' ISGM73 adapter kit.  This connects to the GM auxiliary input port on the back of the factory radio, and works as if your iPod was a GM CD changer. This type of device would be the best choice, in terms of features and sound quality.

Another option is a hardwired FM-modulator device like Peripheral's IS77.  This works by converting the iPod output to an FM signal, which you tune in using the FM radio tuner.  Unlike the many wireless FM transmitters that are available for the iPod, a hardwired adapter produces a clear signal with less interference from local radio stations.

Hope this helps!
