Car Stereos: Choosing subs, kenwood kfc, watts rms

Question
Hi, I thinking of getting some deep base in my fathers f-350. I'm low on cash and was thinking of getting the xbx1200 kit for about $160. Or i was going to get 2 Kenwood KFC-W3011, a dual vented sealed enclosure and Pyle PLA2200 2-Channel 1400-Watt amps for about $290. The problem is i don't know which would have the better bang for the buck.
If i get the xbx1200 i would run only the subs on the amps that came with it and the factory speakers would get no amps, just max the treble on the radio and kill the bass.
Or if i get the kenwood set i would run both speakers to one channel since the rms onthe speaker is 400 and the amps is 700. And then use the other channel for the stock speakers.

I would love to hear which set up you think is beat and if you have a better one i would love to hear it and if you think i need additional equipment let me know. And one more thing kenwood setup, the subs should connect in series to one channel right?

Answer
Oliver,  I would go with the xbx1200 kit.  It looks like it has everything you need to get some additional bass.  The other setup won't be any louder, and you would not be able to add more power to your door speakers in the manner that you would like.  Either setup is going to be about 50 - 70 watts rms power.  That is plenty.  Just don't be dissappointed if it doesn't break your eardrums.  Hope this helps, Scott
