Car Stereos: cd player, power antenna, antenna wire

i have connected my amp and subs already and they are working great when the radio is on but when i try to play a CD, only the car speakers work. what should i do now?

Hi Paul,

It sounds to me like you have the remote wire telling the amp to turn on hooked up to your power antenna wire, which turns off when you're not using radio.  Check your deck again for a remote wire.  If it's a factory deck, you might have to just connect the remote wire to your 12V accessory output and deal with the amplifier being on even if the stereo isn't.  (Or if you have a high level speaker converter, it should have a remote connection on it.)
