Car Stereos: Mid Bass driver replacement, 2003 toyota sequoia, jbl speaker

Question
I have a 2003 Toyota Sequoia with the upgraded JBL sound system. Problem is I have a blown 6.5" mid bass driver and want to find a suitable replacement for it. The JBL speaker, 86160-AF070, says 4 ohms 10 Watt.  I can not find any info on the JBL amp(front) power rating. Since the JBL speaker is rated so low wattage, I assume the amp is not very high power. All of the aftermarket mid bass speakers I see advertised are rated much higher power (100-300 watt)
MY question is: Do these high power drivers require a higher power amp to drive them? If so are you aware of any other low power drivers?

Answer
Barry, you are correct in your research.  The factory speaker does only receive around 10 watts of power.  The additional power handling of the aftermarket speakers does make them less receptive to the lower power of your stock system, but they will sound fine.  The loudest response from the aftermarket speakers will be based on their sensitivity.  The higher the sensitivity, the louder the speaker will sound compared to others of the same properties.  Hope this helps, Scott
