My stereo works ok on am stations but when I change it to fm,it
goes to station 189.9 and will not move off this station.I can tune in any am station.

Hi Dave,

That's a weird issue.

First, make sure that if your deck has a setting for only tuning in stations it finds for you, you turn it off.

Second, make sure the method you're using to go through the FM band involves actual tuning, and not just flipping through presets.

If neither of those are your issue, then you probably have a fried deck.

Although a fried deck exhibiting this behaviour is very unlikely.
