Car Stereos: Car stereo antenna wire problem, antenna wire, stock radio

Hello,  tonight i replaced my stock radio in my 2003 sebring with a MP3 DECK. I.ve done this many times and had no problems til now?  When i pulled the antenna wire out of the back of the factory deck the connector stayed in and the wire pulled out.  now i have a bare end of wire to try to work with. Do i have to replace the whole antenna wire or can i get a new end for whats there.  THank you, any help is appreciated.

Hi Jay,

Unfortunately, if you value your reception, you're going to have to replace that wire.  You've no doubt by now realised that the wire that carries your antenna signal is very thin and delicate.  Trying to reconnect/solder that might work, but the likelihood of ever getting good reception back without replacing that wire entirely is very slim.
