Car Stereos: subwoofers not getting power from amp, sony xplode, watt amplifier

i just hooked up a sony xplode 4/3 way channel 600 watt amplifier and im not getting no power to my subs. about a week ago my subs cut out on my 300W amp how should i fix it?

Edward,  There is not much to how a subwoofer works for the problem to be subwoofer related.  Chances are, there is a short going to the subs or coming from the power supply, or from the ground not being connected well enough.  Check all connections and lengths of wire for wear and looseness.  You will probably find the problem.  If the sub amp is getting power, you may need to hook up another speaker to the amp and see if it is working.  Check all fuses in car or inline.  You should come across the problem just double checking all these things.  Hope this helps, Scott
