Car Stereos: Left Speakers run intermittently, side speakers, gm trucks

My 2004 Trailblazer's left side speakers have been working on and off for the past month.  I don't believe it's a short in the wiring because the speakers never go on or off when I'm driving over bumps.  Only when I first turn on the ignition do I notice whether or not the left side speakers are working.  They'll stay that way until the next time I start the ignition.

Jim,  From past experience, I would say that your stereo is faulty and needs to be replaced.  Something about the early 2000s GM trucks and suvs, the radios are made cheaply and they stop working properly.  Normally, as you have explained, it starts intermittently with the left side speakers.  You can have the radio repaired at an electronics repair shop, or you can pick one up at a salvage yard fairly cheaply.  Hope this helps, Scott
