Car Stereos: No sound from Supertuner, internal amplifier, stereo shop

I have a PioneerSuperTuner that my son installed in my '87 Camero last year. Now all of a sudden I get absolutely no sound from it. All the lights come on, just no sound.ws3

Hi Sue,

Is the system on an amplifier?  If so, then it would be your first place to look.

If not, you've probably got a dead deck.  It's either been turned up too high and fried the internal amplifier, or it has overheated and thermal locked.  Another possibility is that one (or more) of your speakers have died, and the deck has turned itself off to protect itself.

Unfortunately, your next step will be to take it to a car stereo shop.
