Car Stereos: 2004 Envoy XUV left side speakers dont work, side speakers, factory stereo

My speakers quit working one day on the left side. I pulled of the door panels to see if it was the actually speaker or wiring but everything checks out.  I don't know how to take the actual radio out to check the wiring coming from it.  I think that is where the problem lies because every so often my speakers will kick on for the rest of the trip (grocery store, mall, downtown, Belgium,etc..) Got any ideas?

Hi Damon,

Coming back again randomly is one of two things.  Either a loose connection, or an overheating issue.

To remove the deck to test, instructions for factory stereo removal can be found in:
