I have a 93 honda and ive changed the radio in it. i now have a nextar nc990c. the red and black and yellow wires have come off in the back of the harness the goes into the radio and i not sure who goes where. the speakers wire are ok.    also does the filter and fuse box on the nextar have to be attached or can i take it off. will it blow something up.....thanking you in advance.....ken

Answer
Hi Ken.

The yellow is 12V constant -- it provides power to the unit all the time.
The red is 12V switched -- it provides power to the unit only when the car is on or in accessory mode.
The black is ground -- it is the negative lead for the electricity going into the unit.

Never remove fuse boxes from anything -- it won't "blow up", but in the event of a crossed wire or failure, it won't have any protection against an electrical fire or the possibility of frying something.
