Car Stereos: 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan radio removal, dodge grand caravan, phillips screws

Question
How do you get the factory installed radio/CD player out of the van? Our entire unit does not work (our own fault) and we want to replace the unit on our own only we do not know how to get the radio out... how do we get the radio out and what do we need to be able to do it?

Answer
Hi Elizabeth.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Remove the cupholder and unsnap the trim piece located
above the cupholder cavity. Remove (2) Phillips screws from the base of the dash trim bezel. Unclip the dash trim bezel and remove. Remove
(4) Phillips screws securing the factory head unit and disconnect the wiring .

Regards.
