Auto Racing: swap engine and transmission, honda civic dx, 1989 honda civic dx

Question
I buy an rb25 dohc engine 5 speed tranmission nissan skyline gts a 93 and am not sure it would work to swap that engine into my 1989 honda civic dx

Answer
I don't usually take questions like this.  I work on, and advise about real race cars- - -track racers, NOT street applications.

However:  the first answer is yes, with enough money you can probably put nearly anything of similar size into your Honda. The bad news is that you could probably buy a nice, much newer car for the cost of doing it.

My son had an Acura J-Spec 1800 V-Tech installed in his Civic DX, and the cost was well over $5000.00.  It was a lot of work, and there was a lot of work we had to do ouurselves after the installatioin, to make the car right.

It ran VERY well after the fact, but was spotted by some thieves and stolen, and the motor and tranny were removed. The car was totaled.

Good luck !
