Auto Racing: Aerodynamics/Downforce, downforce, ricer

Question
I understand that the faster you go the more affective your downforce becomes on the spoiler. But what is the point of a high quality spoiler if they all can be angled the same way generally? By quality i mean excluding the Material it is made out of such as Carbon and Urethane etc. Well generally what i'm asking is what is the difference in each spoilers shape and looks? Why are some higher, wider, and thicker? Are they all Different?

Answer
There are benefits to a spoiler yes, but most are cosmetic upgrades and not geared towards actually improving stability. Sadly enough I am willing to bet the old ricer aluminum wing can probably be the most effective. Just don’t waste your time with it, your money is better spent elsewhere...
