Auto Racing: fwd performance, nos??, throttle body coolant, coolant line

Question
ok thank you please walk me through this,

You can also loop the throttle body coolant line back on itself so it does not go through the throttle body, this will help lower the incoming air temperature. This mod can be done at no cost what-so-ever and I can walk you through it if you need help.

-----Question-----
Hi, i have a dodge stratus, 2000, v6 with 120,000 miles on it but the oil pressure is above normal and it runs great. what size nos shot would be ideal for this car and what kit?? do you know any where i can get performance parts for this car like high flow throttle body or any easy hop ups??

thanks

I would say a 75 shot of nitrous would be maximum I would go. I have heard good things about NX kits, but I have personally never used them. You will want to be sure and get a wet kit, as they have more adaptability and are safer.

I have bought a CAI for the 2.5L V6 (Sebring/Stratus) from this store on eBay.

It fit fine and for the price is extremely worth while, this part is not CARB certified however, which technically makes it for "off-road use only" meaning if it gets caught in an inspection you will be fined.

After the air intake start with the exhaust, in particular replace the catalytic converter with a high flow unit and then change out the muffler(s). The diameter of the exhaust piping really does not become an issue until some sort of forced induction comes into play.

There are also a few cheap mods that have been proven to yield horse power such as ground wire kits and voltage stabilizers, I have tried the ground wire kits found on eBay and they seemed to work fine, as far as the voltage stabilizer I have not tried it yet. If you need help with the mounting points for the ground wire kit please let me know. You can also loop the throttle body coolant line back on itself so it does not go through the throttle body, this will help lower the incoming air temperature. This mod can be done at no cost what-so-ever and I can walk you through it if you need help.

If you have any questions about any of these please ask.

Answer
On most cars the throttle body has a coolant line (radiator fluid) line that comes into and returns out of, the throttle body. simply remove the lines from the throttle body, use one end to loop it to the other so that instead of going into and coming out of the throttle body they connect straight to each other. Do a search for "Throttle body coolant bypass" on Yahoo, you should turn up all the information you need.
