Auto Racing: Question about F1, f1 race, performance gap

Question
Hello. I think The F1 race at this season was very interesting.
Especially, my having been impressed was that Jenson Button won the Hungary GP. Because I'm a HONDA fan, I was very excited.
Then, I ask you question about SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM. I think they fought bravely. But, I think they still have a long way to go when I think about the performance of the machine and the unity of them team. Still, I'm looking forward to them at coming season. According to this season's result, would you tell me about their activity at the coming season? I don't care by your expectation.

Answer
Hello Rain, thank you for your question.
Any new F1 team has many difficulties in their first season. Many have failed to even make it through the year (e.g. Lola) or to the second season, but Super Aguri have done well with good planning and management and so I expect them to be on the grid for a few seasons yet.
Instant success is very rare for new teams. Rare indeed are the stories of say Wolf or Jordan who were new teams immediately quick. Much more common is a slow start, consolidation and then success. Even Honda, who first entered Grand Prix in 1964, had to wait for their 11th race, at the end of the 1965 season, for their first success (a pretty good record).
For Super Aguri in 2007 they need a new chassis, the SA07 must be better to allow them to move up the grid, What Sato San did in Brazil at the last race was very good (and Yamamoto was even quicker though finished lower), but the competition is very tough and they are a long way from scoring regular points.
So, they have a great Honda engine, a new chassis, a proven quick driver. In 2007 they will have data on the tracks having raced there in 2006 which will help them with car set up and the single tyre supplier rule will be helpful as will take away some of the performance gap from the top teams. Their 2007 target should be 7th in the World Championship constructors with hopefully some points finishes from time to time.
