Auto Racing: 350 turbo transmission, k n air filter, summit racing

Question
thanks, i dont think i'm close to 350hp because my engine is a rebuilt crate engine from in the 80's, but i do have a 4 barrel elderbrock carb, header's and i think my intake manifold might be a performance part. have any idea how much horse it may have? thanks again, and would you consider getting a K N air filter for it?

Question -
I'm wondering if a 350 turbo transmission can handle 3:55 gears in a 1977 camaro.

Answer -
It depends entirely upon the amount of horspepwer you'll be running through it.  The T350 is a good reliable tranny, and the T400 is FAR superior.

If you're going to be running anything over about 350 HP , I'd start looking for the 400 , Also check out the catalog of trannys at Summit Racing (www.summitracing.com)

Good luck

Answer
OK then the engine is probably more in the 200 to 250 range and the T 350 should do fine. (I'm shuddering here - - -I HATE  automatics !)

I always recommend the K&N equipment to everyone. Sometimes they're a bit noisey but that's OK except on a trip through the mountains.

Enjoy
