Auto Racing: 98 Dodge Neon 2.0 SOHC, dodge neon, neon 2
QuestionI race a 98 Dodge Neon 2.0 on a 1/4 mile dirt track and am having some "cut-out" issues coming out of turns 2 & 4. The car hesitates for a nano second and then resumes. It's a stock engine with the advanced "cheater" PCM. The only codes I am getting are 12, 25, & 44. All of which I do not think will cause the problem I'm having. I did discover that the PCM was loose...are the PCM internally grounded or do they have to be grounded through the mounting?
Please help...I am in the top 5 and could easily be in the top three if it wasn't for the "pesky" cut-out!
Thanks,

AnswerHi Rick:
The short answer is that I have never worked with ECUs PCMs or any of the high tech electronic engine managment systems.
I'd suggets you try Summit Racing first. Go to <www.summitracing.com> for their tech linie and give them a try. If they can't help you they might know someone who can.
Sorry I couldn't offer more myself !
